Experience Europe and explore its history and culture from the charming university town of Leuven in Belgium.  Common Curriculum and Major Courses Offered in:

Loyola Himalayan Adventure Program in India
Study and live in the regions of North India that are striking for their cultural diversity, natural beauty, and historical richness. The program will be based in Dharamsala, located the shadow of the the Himalayas. Dharamsala is the center of India's Tibetan refugee community and the seat of the Tibetan Government in Exile.  Common Curriculum Courses offered in:

Loyola Summer Program in Ireland
Study Irish myth, literature, and philosophy in the heart of the Hibernian Metropolis.  See where writers such as James Joyce, Oscar Wilde, and W.B. Yeats lived and worked. Trips to the country will include a visit to Belfast - the up-and-coming city in the north.  Common Curriculum and Major Courses Offered in:

Rome-VaticanLoyola Summer Program in Italy: The Crossroads of Culture, Art and Religion

Explore the ancient world of Rome and make excursions to archaeological sites in Pompeii, Herculaneum, and Blue Capri Island.  In the final week, we take our studies on the road to Siena, Assisi and Florence where we will enter the medieval world of early Christianity. Here we will encounter the texts and contexts of Dante, Catherine of Siena and St. Francis of Assisi. We will explore both subterranean churches and still vibrant medieval-era basilicas.  Common Curriculum courses offered in

Loyola Summer Program in ParisEiffel Tower
Discover French artists in the museums of Paris and French writers and musicians of the romantic, impressionist, and modern periods.  Explore Paris, a wonderful walking city steeped in the culture from the middle ages to the present.

Loyola Summer Program in Avila, Spain
Come explore Spain! Ávila, in the heart of Castilla-León, is the home of many of the aspects of Spanish civilization--the bases of the culture in Roman artifacts, early Iberian stone sculptures, Romanesque and early Gothic churches, the original medieval walls that surround the city--all of which make for a wonderful way to improve your skills in the language and learn about Spain's unique culture. Courses Offered in:

  • Spanish language courses

Loyola Semester Exchange Programs 

Studying on a Loyola exchange program allows you to pay Loyola tuition and use all your scholarships, state and federal aid when you study abroad.  You will be responsible for additional costs for housing, meals, transportation and personal expenses.
